The Turret Room is the forward most room in the house and offers a beautiful second floor view of the 200-year old Black Oak from which the inn takes its name.

Here you will find three comfortable single beds in two separate, yet adjoining rooms! The classic round turret is part of this unique sleeping arrangement, making the Turret Room a favorite for “Best Friend Getaways”, Golf-Outings and parents traveling with teen-children.
These open and sunny guest rooms feature too many windows to count, a small private balcony, full private bath located in the hall, original art, antique furniture, paddle fans, cable TV with remote, individually controlled heat and air and a full gourmet breakfast.

Every week we’ve had the pleasure of hosting visitors from Toccoa, GA to Titusville, FL– from Monterrey, Mexico to Braunschweis, Germany. We’ve had parents here to deliver their children to camp. People, who have hiked, kayaked, shopped and explored – then savored the area’s best cuisine, while listening to the music of the Blue Ridge. They attended live theater and summer festivals. They arrived by bicycle, Harley, convertible, SUV and minivan. They caught up on their reading and learned the names of our wild flowers and birds. Many renewed a connection long lost to a life lived in the fast lane.
