The Saluda Arts and Music Festival:

SALUDA – Three years after the first passenger train panted up Saluda Grade, what was known then as Pace’s Gap became the chartered town of Saluda in February 1881.  Celebrating its heritage and arts culture, the Saluda Business Association announces its fifth annual Arts and Music Festival scheduled for May 17 on historic downtown Main Street, Saluda. 

Featuring more than 50 talented artists from Western North Carolina and the Upstate of South Carolina, visitors will see a dazzling diversity of art media including oil, watercolor and acrylic paintings, pottery, woodturning, blacksmithing, sculpture, jewelry, painted furniture, stained glass and more. 

In addition to art exhibits, festivalgoers will be entertained by a variety of musical performances.
