The Acorn Suite

The Acorn Suite is on the ground floor of the Carriage House and as the name implies the structure was originally the stables, where the carriage was stored and the stable hands lived.  Somewhere in The Oaks Bed and Breakfast history, the Carriage House had been converted into two complete luxury cottage-apartments.

Everything you need is here in a spacious and comfortable mountain setting. . .

An eat-in kitchen with refrigerator, range, microwave and coffee maker, living room with trundle bed/sofa, cable TV, paddle fans, separate master bedroom, full bath, individually controlled heat and air, plus a large private deck for quiet time spent bird watching or counting the stars. Tremendous windows, in both the living room and bedroom, make for a panoramic view of the densely wooded nature area and mountains that boarder this beautiful property.

The Acorn Suite can easily accommodate two or more guests and is ideal for extended stays or guests with disabilities.

We love our four-legged friends! The Oaks Bed and Breakfast is proud to be a “pet friendly” inn and welcomes well behaved pets in The Acorn Suite.

Special thanks to all our friends that have visited us at The Oaks Bed and Breakfast this past summer!  Every week we’ve had the pleasure of hosting visitors from Toccoa, GA to Titusville, FL– From Monterrey, Mexico to Braunschweis, Germany.  We’ve had parents here to deliver their children to camp.  People, who have hiked, kayaked, shopped and explored – then savored the area’s best cuisine, while listening to the music of the Blue Ridge.  They attended live theater and summer festivals.   They arrived by bicycle, Harley, convertible, SUV and minivan.  They caught up on their reading and learned the names of our wild flowers and birds.  Many renewed a connection long lost to a life lived in the fast lane.
