Named for the American ornithologist, naturalist and painter, John Audubon, The Audubon Room is as connected to nature as he was. Prints of native birds adorn the walls of this sunny ground floor guest room with private bath, antique queen-size sleigh bed, high-boy dresser, a handcrafted laurel oak rocker, individually controlled heat and A/C, ceiling fans, and a large walk-in closet.  What makes this luxury accommodation unique is that The Audubon Room is the only first floor guest room in the main house. The Audubon Room features a private entrance that offers easy entry from the parking lot as well as access through the inn – an advantage for guests who may have difficulty negotiating stairs. The private entry also gives guests of The Audubon Room exclusive use of the rear deck, with tables, chairs and umbrellas to enjoy the panoramic view of the vast nature preserve that boarder this magnificent property. Sit, relax and make friends with our Carolina Wrens, Chickadees, Tufted Titmice and Ruby-throated Humming Birds.

While each of the spacious and comfortable guest accommodations at The Oaks Bed and Breakfast has its own personality and charm, The Audubon Room could possibly be the most distinctive guest accommodation at The Oaks.
