The Oaks Bed And Breakfast is the perfect place to create mountain memories for you and your fiancée, your family and friends. Our picturesque 1895 Victorian mansion has been lovingly maintained in keeping with its history while affording modern and comfortable accommodations. There is easy access to the splendor of the mountains and the “string of pearls” historic villages of Saluda, Tryon and Landrum, as well as close proximity to both Asheville and Greenville, SC. There are countless attractions to explore including hiking, bicycling, and kayaking, restaurants, boutiques, galleries and antiques, and, breweries and wineries.
We will be delighted to assist you in the coordination of guest accommodations, the ceremony, and your reception. There are so many options to make your special day just as you envision. Your ceremony can be performed in our parlor with your grand entrance on our staircase or an outdoor garden setting, with a wooded backdrop.
You may choose to have an intimate reception at the Inn, in our garden, or at a local restaurant.
The Inn’s dining room can comfortably accommodate up to 12 guests for a seated meal. The parlor can accommodate a seated meal for up to 20. For a larger guest list we recommend a tent in the garden or a private dining room at one of the local restaurants. You may also consider a buffet or passed appetizers, as the Inn’s veranda, decks and public areas will be open to your guests to mingle.
Food and Drink
A licensed caterer is required for all food and beverages brought onto the property. The service of alcoholic beverages requires a “Limited Special Occasion Permit” as required by North Carolina ABC laws, or your caterer’s license can be used. We expect that you will comply with all NC laws.
To provide your group the level of privacy and service needed for your event, the entire Inn must be reserved. There are six rooms total and each must be reserved for a minimum of two nights whether or not they will be occupied. During most of the year, the rate for Friday and Saturday night is $2120, excluding holiday weekends and autumn weekends.
Other Good Things to Know
All festivities at the Inn must conclude by 11:00 pm. At this time, all music and beverage service must end.
You will be required to acquire property damage insurance with which we will help you. The fees are nominal.
Parking is for guests staying at the Inn only and is complimentary. We can assist you in arranging valet parking for your guests.
We can assist you in making arrangements for rental, delivery and set-up of tents, tables, and chairs, food, flowers, music and other amenities – all within the budget set by you. A fee of 20% of the direct cost will be charged to arrange and coordinate these services. All down payments and final charges will need to be paid by you directly to the service provider.
Payment is due in advance and is subject to the Inn’s standard cancellation policy.
There is NO SMOKING at the Inn. If necessary, we will help you designate a limited smoking area outside in the parking area.
